HEAVEN
At every funeral you find a few common bonds. One, people really do contemplate life. They are faced with the reality that they too will one day die. Second, every one at a funeral seems to go to heaven (at least every one that I've been too). No one ever says, "Here lies Johnny Bob's body, but his soul is in torment in hell." No one wants to hear that, though it may be true. It doesn't comfort the loss that the family faces. But the truth is that Jesus said that many don't go to heaven. He said, "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the that and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." (Matthew 7:13-14)
As you go about your day and see numerous people hustling and bustling about, remember, souls are heading into eternity every second. Jesus died for every person. He wants to redeem them and bring them to heaven.
"Jesus, give us eyes to see the world around us as You see it. Amen."

Mission Honduras
As Deanna gets ready to head out to Honduras, it reminds me of the mission we all have. Some have said, "I'm not an evangelist." Or "I'll just pray for them." Though prayer is vital and not everyone is called to the same place, Jesus gave us a command of evangelism. He said, "GO therefore and make disciples of all nations..." (Matt. 28:19). My witness is by words and actions. It includes every place He may direct me to. Some days I am a witness to my family, friends, or co-workers. Other days I may be in a new city facing new people that need Jesus. And at other times I may be in a whole new country living out Christ to those around me.
Whether in America or in Honduras, we are witness of Jesus. Our lives and words speak a volume to this world..."A relationship with Jesus changes life!"
