HEAVEN

Recently I have seen a 12 year old girl and a 29 year old mom pass away. Neither knew each other. Neither lived close by the other. Two different people, two totally different circumstances, but one connection. Both knew Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Both entered eternity with Him just hours apart. Both are rejoicing now in a new life in Heaven without pain, sin, frustration, and trials.
At every funeral you find a few common bonds. One, people really do contemplate life. They are faced with the reality that they too will one day die. Second, every one at a funeral seems to go to heaven (at least every one that I've been too). No one ever says, "Here lies Johnny Bob's body, but his soul is in torment in hell." No one wants to hear that, though it may be true. It doesn't comfort the loss that the family faces. But the truth is that Jesus said that many don't go to heaven. He said, "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the that and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." (Matthew 7:13-14)
As you go about your day and see numerous people hustling and bustling about, remember, souls are heading into eternity every second. Jesus died for every person. He wants to redeem them and bring them to heaven.

"Jesus, give us eyes to see the world around us as You see it. Amen."
